Happy National Coffee Day! Did you know coffee was discovered by a goat herder in Ethiopia? It is said that he discovered coffee after noticing that his goats upon eating berries from a certain tree, became so spirited that they did not want to sleep at night.
So in honor of this day I designed a fun Halloween card using our new Merry Cafe stamp set.
I inked up a white doily and the watercolor swooshes are from Beautiful You. You can find these and all the other supplies in my shop by clicking on the images below
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very crafty weekend!
If you love fall then you will love this new stamp set by Stampin’ Up! It’s called Painted Harvest and it prints the most beautiful watercolor sunflowers. But the really cool thing is the layered parts.
Painted Harvest Stamp Set
How I Made This Card
Because the petals are layered stamps you can create any color sunflower that you dream of. To get the coloring for my Blue Sunflower I first stamped the larger petals in Pool Party on Very Vanilla Cardstock and then the detailing petals in Tranquil Tide. The center is in Crumb Cake. I can’t take credit for coming up with this color combination though. I found it on Pinterest by Laura Lynn Hernandez. HERE is the card she made.
These are note cards size 3 1/2″ X 5″ I ordered pre-cut and scored cards from Stampin’ Up! and covered the front with a piece of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper . Then mounted on Cajun Craze Cardstock that was cut with the layering squares scalloped edge. I cut my Blue Sunflower with the stitched shapes square.
The sentiment is stamped with Soft Suede on Very Vanilla 1″ X 3 1/2″ inch
I hope you liked this card idea. This is one of the most popular items in the new Holiday Catalog, so I recommend you order it as soon as possible. Once they run out there won’t be any more. You won’t regret getting it! Remember you can purchase any of the supplies I used to make this card in my shop. Just click on the images below to get there.
Also if you would like me to send you a copy of the new Holiday Catalog just send me a email requesting it and I will get it out to you right away.

Happy fall! and happy stampin’
Happy first day fall!
In honor of the autumnal equanox I thought I would share another card from my favorite Stampin’ Up! stamp set, Vintage Leaves. You can make so many different kinds of cards with this set such as masculine birthday cards, thank you cards, sympathy cards and blank note cards. To see the other cards I’ve made with this stamp set click HERE or on the Vintage Leaves tag on the sidebar to the right.
Today’s card is a simple Thank you card using the new Painted Autumn designer series paper. The sentiment is from the new Painted Harvest stamp set. I also embossed the Cajun Craze cardstock for a little extra WOW with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend with lots of time to be creative.

It’s craft fair season here in Texas. And what better place to get those cute small gifts for teachers, coworkers and gift exchange Christmas parties than at a craft fair. If you have missed any previous posts on my Craft Fair ideas you can see them all by clicking HERE
This year I have signed up for four fairs and hoping to make a small profit to help with my own Christmas Budget. Here is the latest craft idea I have created for my booth.
Cake in a Mug
It is a simple craft but a great seller at fairs.
I found the mugs at the Goodwill and Dollar store. The cake mix packet is by Duncan Hines and coffee mix is from Folgers. I added some shredded paper and a few coffee candies then wrapped it all up in cellophane with a big bow.
If you live in the North Texas area please come by and say hello. I’d love to meet you.

This Seasonal Lantern Card shows how with just a few simple changes you can take any project and adapt it no matter what type of crafter you are.
Seasonal Lantern Card New Crafter
Are you a new crafter? This beautiful card focuses mostly on stamps, ink, and paper. It’s a great place for new crafters to begin, especially if you want to send cards to multiple people this year.
Seasonal Lantern Card Casual Crafter
Are you a casual crafter? This next version of the card really steps things up. The lantern and candle are cut out with the Big Shot and raised up on dimensionals. The Garden Green cardstock is replaced with Garden Green and Burlap ribbon. And the sentiment is heat embossed in white.
Seasonal Lantern Card Avid Crafter
Or maybe you’re an avid crafter and to you more is better. The final version of this card adds even more wonderfulness. More leaves, more ribbon, more stamping. And the white cardstock is embossed which gives the lantern more depth.
So no matter what kind of crafter you are, there is always a project for you.
All the supplies used to make these cards are listed below. Clicking on the image will take you to my shop.
