And now on to the Blog Hop.

Great Way to Introduce Yourself to New Neighbor

According to State Farm only 36% of people know the name of their neighbors! How sad is that!? Actually it is very sad.  I moved to the neighborhood almost 3 years ago now and only know a few people who live here.  I want to change that and I know it begins with me. This week I’ve been given a chance. The house across from me just sold and I’d like to introduce myself to my new neighbor.  But I have to admit I am a little nervous. So I did some research (hello Pinterest) to come up with a way without being too intrusive or rude.

How I introduced myself to my new neighbor

In the City Stamp Set

I make cards for a living and one of Stampin’ Up!’s new Host stamp sets got me inspired.  How about make a welcome to the neighborhood card?  And then I thought what about a home-baked treat as well. Who doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies?

Chocolate Chip Cookies

So I created this card and brought it over with some home-baked chocolate chip cookies. Gandhi said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”  I’m sure he was talking about chocolate chip cookies!

Card and gift for new neighbor

Do you know your neighbors?  If not, make them a card and some cookies and go introduce yourself?

The new In the City stamp set is one of our exclusive stamp sets available to our hosts in this year’s catalog.  If you would like to earn this set contact me about hosting a party either on line or at home.

RemARKably Creative Blog Hop

Welcome to the Remarkably Creative Blog Hop for June 2017. I have designed 3 projects from the new Fabulous Flamingo stamp set. Flamingo’s are so popular these days so I thought this would be the perfect set to use for this hop.

Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set

This month Blog Hop theme is Anything New.  So as you hop along you will find projects made from new stamp sets in the new 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog Creating with Kristina or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you can see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting KRISTINAREES.

One last thing.  If you see any products that you like, you can purchase them in my shop. You can find the link to my shop in the menu bar above or at the end of this post.

And now on to the Hop.

Fabulous Flamingo sunset Thank you card

Fabulous Flamingo SunsetThank You Card

I used the sponge daubers to blend Peekaboo Peach and Berry Burst ink on a 4″ X 5 1/4″ Whisper White cardstock.

Then I stamped the flamingo, water, grass and leaves in Basic Black ink.

I stamped “Thanks” on Peekaboo Peach cardstock and cut out a flag shape around it.

I layered a scrap of white doily with the flag and attached it in the corner.

I attached the flamingo picture to a Peekaboo Peach card base measuring 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″

Finally I tied a bow with Linen Thread

Fabulous Flamingo Birthday Delivery Card

Fabulous Flamingo Birthday Delivery Card

To create this card I use Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Basic Black ink to create the flamingo on a 2 3/4″ X 4 1/4″ Whisper White cardstock.

I stamp “Happy” from the New Tabs for Everything stamp set in Dapper Denim and “Birthday” in Basic Black

Then adhered that to Pool Party cardstock 3″ X 4 1/2″

I cut 1 1/4″ X 4″ strip from Birthday Delivery designer series paper (dsp)

I cut a balloon and party hat from the Birthday Delivery dsp using the Birthday Delivery thinlit dies

I attached the hat with a glue dot and the balloon with a dimensional

Finally I assembled the card as shown in the picture above on Dapper Denim card base 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″

Fabulous Flamingo Day Scrapbook Page

Fabulous Flamingo Scrapbook Page

Our daughter sent us this adorable picture of our granddaughter next to the flamingos in her matching pink jacket and knew this stamp set would create the perfect layout to show her off.

First I stamped the flamingo with Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Basic Black ink and fussy cut it out.

I used scraps of designer series paper from Delightful Daisy, In Colors, Birthday Delivery and Velum to layer behind the picture.

I stamped the background in Crumbcake ink with the Timeless Textures stamp set. I used the stamp off meathod so the ink was not so saturated.

I really love this stamp set.  I have plans to create many more cards using it. I was even thinking of a Santa hat for a Christmas card.  The ideas are endless.

If you are looking for a stamp set that has popular and trendy images, this set is for you!
