My great nephew’s 2nd birthday was this weekend. And of course I wanted to make a 2nd birthday card that was special and one of kind just for him. In this post I’m going to share with you how to make a 2nd birthday card using Stampin’ Up!’s Number of Years stamp set.
It’s always so much fun being with my family. I especially love it when it involves a party. My niece invited everyone over to her house for a fun time of cake and watching the delight in the eyes of a two year old as he opens all the presents from his family and friends. These gatherings are also very special when father is able join.

I sell Stampin’ Up! card making supplies so it only seemed right to make my great nephew’s 2nd birthday card myself. The Number of Years stamp set makes it easy to make a card for any specific year birthday. I made a card back in November of last year for my sister’s Grandmother-in-law’s 95th birthday you can see HERE
Before I assembled my card I created a background by sponging Lemon Lime Twist for grass and Pool Party for sky on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped “look who’s turning” in Night of Navy. Next I glued a number 2 cut from Daper Denim cardstock under that. I fussy cut the raccoon from the Birthday Memories paper and lifted him up on Stampin’ Dimentionals.
Then I used another piece of Birthday Memories paper to mat it and glued it all onto a Whisper White card base.

I love this sweet little cupcake! I made a traditional birthday card but it can be used for any occasion. There are Christmas cupcakes, graduation cupcakes, Valentine’s cupcakes, even Halloween cupcakes. It is definitely a stamp set that will get a lot of use!
I designed my card using a sketch from CASE this Sketch. Be sure to visit the site and see all the other creative ideas using this sketch.
I created this birthday card using the Sweet Cupcake stamp set out of the Annual Catalog that you can purchase for yourself in my shop.
The Designer Series Paper is from our new Occasions Catalog called Painted with Love. I decided to frost my cupcake in Calypso Coral in order to match the paper.
And the word “celebrate” in Fresh Fig is from a thinlit set you can get free from the SALE-A-BRATION catalog with $100 purchase.
Remember, you can get all the items I used to make this card in my shop. Click on the thumbnail for the item you want.

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fun weekend. It was pretty here in Texas. You would never believe it was below freezing last week. Well, you know what they say, here in Texas if you don’t like the weather just wait a minute. It will change. Hopefully where you live the weather is warmer too.
So, did you do anything crafty this weekend? Here is a Valentine I made with the Jar of Love stamp set by Stampin’ Up! I entered it in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge. Be sure to check the site out and see all the other beautiful cards using this sketch too.
The Jar of Love stamp set is one of the popular stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! And I can why. It is so versatile. I’ve seen everything from simple birthday cards to elaborate snow globe shaker cards made with it.
I made the jars using the large and medium jar stamps on Whisper White card stock and filled them with varying shades of pink hearts. The lids are done in Basic Grey, cut out and raised up with Stampin’ Dimentionals. The large bow is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and the string bow is stamped in Fresh Fig. The banner is from the Number of Years stamp set and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Using the new Simple Stripes embossing folder I ran a piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock through the big shot . Then I layered a Delicate Whisper White Doily and Silver Foil Doily as a foundation for the Jars of Love.
All the supplies to make this card are in my shop. Just click on the thumbnail of the item you want and it will take you there.
Don’t forget SALE-A-BRATION is going on right now.

Happy National Popcorn Day!
Here are a few fun facts about this light and fluffy treat:
Did you know people have been munching on popcorn for over 6000 years! Evidence in Peru suggests that popcorn existed as early as 4700 B.C., making it one of the oldest forms of corn. Peruvians didn’t just pop their corn; they also ground it into flour to cook in other ways.
Today, Orville Redenbacher is the #1 best-selling popcorn in the world. Its inventor, Orville, began to grow popping corn in 1919, when he was just 12 years old.
The average American eats 68 quarts of popcorn each year. Americans consume 17.3 billion of popcorn annually!
and Stampin’ Up! even has a Popcorn stamp set. It is found on page 26 in the Annual Catalog.
