Wrapped Hershey Nuggets

Good morning and happy Wednesday fellow crafters! Welcome back to another post for my Craft Fair Series 2017.

Today I am working on one of my best sellers the wrapped Hershey Nuggets. These wrapped candies are perfect for your holiday table, a teacher/coworker gift, a thank you gift or even a hostess gift. They look so lovely and the cost to make them is low enough you make them for all the different holidays this season.

Here I am making Thanksgiving themed wrapped nuggets.  Don’t you think these would be the perfect accent to your Thanksgiving table!

Wrapped Hershey Nugget Details

All you need for this craft is:

  • a bag of Hershey Nuggets
  • long narrow cellophane bags (sold in my shop)
  • designer paper
  • heavy cardstock
  • strong adhesive
  • paper trimmer and scoring tool
  • ribbon or twine to tie off bag opening

Wrapped Hershey Nuggets

First cut the designer paper 1″ X 3″. You can make 12 with paper from a 6″ X 6″ paper pad

Next cut the cardstock 2″ X 6″ and score each side 1/4″ making a long tray. Again you can get 12 from a 12″ X 12″ piece of cardstock

Wrap 6 nuggets with the designer paper using a strong adhesive

Put nuggets on cardstock tray and insert into cellophane bag

Tie bag and add a decorative tag. That’s all!

Craft Fair Series 2017 | My Second Fair of the Season

Posted in Events
on October 4, 2017

So last Saturday I had my second fair of the season.  Being my second I knew a little better what to expect.  After getting there and setting up it was almost two hours before the first customer showed up.  I didn’t realize this was the church’s first time to host a craft fair so not many people knew about it.  Throughout the day people trickled in.  I feel I would have sold a lot more if there had been more people.  Most people bought something and said I had very creative beautiful things.  My most popular item were the greeting cards.  I brought my price down from the last fair I did from $5 a card or 5 for $20 to $4 a card or 5 for $15.  Most people bought 5 cards.

Although it was a slow day I did well.  I paid for my rental space and made a nice little profit. I am hoping my next fair has more people.  I am planning on making a lot of Christmas themed gift items and a lot more card.

Craft Fair Series 2017 | Cake in a Mug

It’s craft fair season here in Texas. And what better place to get those cute small gifts for teachers, coworkers and gift exchange Christmas parties than at a craft fair. If you have missed any previous posts on my Craft Fair ideas you can see them all by clicking HERE

This year I have signed up for four fairs and hoping to make a small profit to help with my own Christmas Budget. Here is the latest craft idea I have created for my booth.

Cake in a Mug

It is a simple craft but a great seller at fairs.

I found the mugs at the Goodwill and Dollar store. The cake mix packet is by Duncan Hines and coffee mix is from Folgers. I added some shredded paper and a few coffee candies then wrapped it all up in cellophane with a big bow.

Here are a couple things I’ve been working on for the my next craft fair. If you have missed any of my previous craft fair ideas you can see them all by clicking HERE.

Craft Fair Ideas

This first one is a brag book to put pictures of those cute little trick or treaters in your life. I got the idea from Lyriclover810 on Youtube.  She has a lot of great craft fair ideas and does a great job filming her how to videos.

This second craft is a witches broom filled with candy corn. These are from an old Paper Pumpkin Kit and I ‘m sorry but they are no longer available.

Craft Fair Series 2017: Christmas Card sets

Christmas Card set

Hello and welcome back to my Craft Fair Series.  This is the second entry and if you missed my first one you can HERE to see it. Today I’m sharing with you the boxed Christmas card sets I made this week.

Christmas Card set2

These cards measure 5″ X 3.75″.  I found the these base cards at Micheal’s Craft Store in the $1.50 ben. They come 8 cards and envelopes.  I packaged them in these clear top boxes and gold elastic cord that I got at Uline.

Christmas Card set5

I had a couple problems with the cards as I began to transform them into cute Christmas cards. First the cards are cream vanilla in color so my designer paper needed to have a vanilla instead of bright white.  I finally found some at my local Scrapbook store but ended up paying $0.85 a sheet which cut into my profit a bit. The second was the cards are a very light weight card stock so I couldn’t put too much on  the front or the card would be too top heavy. To dress them up a bit without adding weight I used Stampin’ Up! dimensionals under the scalloped ovals. They turned out very nice but I could only get 6 in a box this way.

Christmas Card set3

After I calculated all the supplies it cost me $3. 05 to make a box of cards and I plan to sell them for $10.

Do you sell at craft fairs? I hope this series is helpful to you.  If there is anything I can add or if you have a question, just let me know in the comments below. I will have another craft idea for you next Wednesday. So stayed tuned.
