Post it Note Holder Tutorial

You are going to love this Post it Note holder I’ve been making to sell at a local craft fair.  They are so popular and all my crafting buddies keep asking how I made it. Yes I’m giving away my trade secret here but don’t tell anyone.  Shhhh, it will be our little secret.

If you make crafts you might consider selling them at a local craft fair also. They are a fun way to make a little extra spending money for all those new stamp sets that are coming out in our new Catalog.

I hope you find this tutorial helpful.

Post it Note Holder Instructions

To make a Post it Note holder first cut out your base

7 3/8″ X 3 1/4″

Then score on the 3 1/8″  3 1/2″  3 7/8″

Fold on the 3 1/2″ and cut two slits. This will be the pen holder.

Use a strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape ( item #138995 in our catalog)  and put between the 3 1/2″ and 3 7/8″ score marks.

As you adhere the fold be sure to push out the pen holder.

Add another strip of tear tape to the back inside to hold the Post it Note pad in place.

Finally decorate.  I always start with a layer of designer paper cut 3″ X 2 7/8″

adhere a 3 X 3 Post it Note and pen (I got my pens at Hobby Lobby)

Because I sell mine in a craft fair I also put mine in a  4″ X 6″ self adhesive clear bag and attach at topper cut at 4″ X 2 1/4″ I score it at the 1″ and then cut a scalloped edge on the 1 1/4″ side.

I hope you found this tutorial useful.  I want to give credit to Dawn Griffith who made and awesome video showing how she makes her Post it Note holder.  You can see that video HERE.

And until next time, go and do more of what makes you happy.

Thank you. I am looking forward to trying this project. It looks easier than some of the other note holder projects I’ve seen.
